Because reasons I won’t get into here, I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, as such. But it is important to reflect on the things that are important to you, and what makes them possible.
I, myself, am thankful for friends who have my back and listen to me drunkenly cry about my dumb issues! I’m thankful for the family I have, and my impossibly patient and wonderful husband. I’m thankful for my pets, and the place in which we live.
Things are tough. We can’t afford to hate. And maybe that sounds a little woo-woo, but it’s the truth. Be mindful of those around you. Protect the vulnerable.Think of what fills you with joy.
And if you’re lucky enough, you can be thankful for someone who makes you feel silly…
