Good news, everybody!

So we don’t know if it’s the cause of the migraines for sure, but an aneurysm was found in the place they tend to occur. I was in surgery yesterday to take care of the problem with some new futuristic thing that’s supposed to be a lot safer and effective than the other two methods, and effectively kills the aneurysm rather than simply preventing a leak or a rupture. The reason for the uncertainty, though, is aneurysms don’t usually cause symptoms until they burst (to be clear since this is a common misconception, the aneurysm is the swollen blood vessel/artery itself; the dangerous thing people talk about when they say “having an aneurysm” is when said aneurysm bursts and causes bleeding; I was not in the latter stage). But we will see. In any case, better to address a problem like this and eliminate something really bad and still have migraines rather than the alternative.

So I’m a bit headachey; they’re weaning me off the good stuff now, but of course having to do backflips trying to find meds that don’t mess with my psychiatric ones :V Think they’re gonna settle on that Tylenol with codeine.

Current plan is to have me out by Monday morning, although my dear neuro is not known for his expediency on discharges (it was a Monday morning I was supposed to be discharged after he rebuilt by spine and I was there til 5pm 😐 ). But y’know we’ll see. Food’s good here. They have rainbow ice pops and honestly that’s all I need!

Yeah I’ve got like a week’s work of Tylenol 300 so nothing crazy. All dressed and waiting, bouncing on the edge of the bed. I figure I may as well just keep my laptop out until I hear something. Which has not been yet. Grr.

I read that in the Professors voice from Futurama >< Glad you're doing well! Left surprises on a couple more nexus pics. Hope they cheer ya up a bit πŸ™‚

I used to do it proper as a substitute teacher.

“Good news, everybody, Dr. Thompson left a pop quiz for me to give you about x hard thing!”

I really don’t think they liked me much lol

Will head on over to Nexus soon! πŸ˜€

Holy smokes! Well you dodged a proverbial bullet there, Furb. Glad to hear they found that pesky little thing and Took Steps. The final step, of course, is setting you free so you can go home away from “means well” but “somewhat annoying” hospital staff (apologies to any doctors or nurses reading this right now – one night is okay, two, tops. But nearly or over a week? No way, man!)

Thanks a bunch πŸ™‚ Luckily they were (sort of) expedient and I got home Monday in time to do some screenshooting AND in time to put out my back! lol Good timing to wind up with Tylenol 300!
